At 6 feet, 6 inches and 240 pounds, Willard was considered unbeatable in his day. He nonetheless lost to Jack Dempsey in 1919 in one of the most brutally one-sided contests in fistic history. Willard later made an initially successful comeback but was def...

Reviews:"Crisply written, elegantly constructed and thoroughly researched, When Clouds Fell from the Sky is a perceptive, often heart-breaking book. I am a drama queen and I love drama. Leigha Carmichael is drowning her sorrows in a bar at an exclusive hotel in Las Vegas when a devastatingly handsome stranger sits next to her to see if she's alright. With the exception of a very few, each one of these people I've met have passed pearls of knowledge onto me each time I meet one of them. "*This is a corrected entry-"It was on 14 August 1938 (not 12 August 1938) that the USS Augusta (CA-31) lands her U. However, while Sam is generally a great person, there is one sticking point for me which makes me give her side-eye. Way to go Doug, please keep the originality coming for years to come. reviews:

A nice job by passionate writers who have filled a need to memorialize a near forgotten fighter. My hat is off on the effort and the achievement. The only problem is that it is not the most interesting read unless you are a boxing scholar who feels t...

My son loves this series of books, you think how can this story continue for 12 months/books but it comes with new twist and turns throughout every book and you have to get the next book right away because each one leaves you hanging, so buy all 12 at once because you will want to keep going once you start, the story is believable, the characters are well developed and the story line is easy to remember, would definitely recommend to young readers. You have: pescatarians, lacto-ovo vegetarians, vegans, macrobiotics, and raw dieters. in general I find the stories too short to get into.
