I am ready for his future writings. But I didn't much care for Knowing and learning how to make pots. I read the first few chapters and just couldn't get into it so I put it away. This novel is very fast-moving, and chock full of action, suspense and surprises. I have read the new book, "THE LITTLE COUNTRY TOWN" and think it is one of the best books I have read for children. Unlike UPSIDE DOWN, these novels have compelling characters and interesting plots that actually make sense. why would this French woman decide to sleep with the man who seems to be nothing more than a pair of eyes.

The sections on hermaphroditism were well done and gave one a sympathetic and more thorough understand of the spectrum of gender and the delicate dance of hormones needed to create it. Obviously, Ron is stronger only if we consider the normal skill for a human, Jean-Claude is always a vampire, and he has special powers that makes him immortal and almost invincible. I bought this book thinking it would be good. Still, the device of a "selected poems" keeps things from becoming too overwhelming, giving us an overview of his entire career and, therefore, a chronology to help us along. Why no proper footnotes.
